The Jewish Medical Professional Network was born out of a simple but powerful idea: to bring Jewish medical professionals together in a meaningful, supportive community.
Founder Dr. Michele "Michla" Melamed began developing this vision in 2024, in collaboration with Rabbinical Advisor Rabbi Yossi Lerman. What started as a heartfelt conversation evolved into a movement—creating a space where medical professionals could uplift one another socially and professionally, guided by shared values and Jewish principles. Our mission is clear: to foster a community of compassion, integrity, and growth. By starting locally and expanding outward, we aim to build a national and ultimately global network of Jewish medical professionals—one that transforms how medical professionals see themselves. Rather than being defined by the pressures of metrics, deadlines, and limited time with patients, JMPN seeks to rekindle the sense of nobility and purpose in their calling as healers of humankind and the world.
